Anniversaries
The dates the papers marked, gathered by the last digit of the year in which the event happened, because that is the digit its round anniversaries fall on. Within a group, the dates run in calendar order.
A text rarely names the year it remembers: it says “ten years after” and leaves the sum to the reader. The year is worked out here and each date checked. Only texts that mark a date are listed, not those that mention one in passing.
